Sam founded MOTEX in 2023, driven by a passion for problem-solving and a commitment to top-level vehicle care. With over 10 years’ experience — including time with M-Sport Ford World Rally Team, Prodrive, and BMW — he brings a wealth of knowledge and precision to every job.

As Owner and Lead Technician, Sam ensures each vehicle receives the same high standard of specialist care, from complex diagnostics to routine maintenance. He takes pride not just in fixing faults, but in creating a clean, professional workshop environment that reflects the quality of his work.

“What I enjoy most is diagnostics — every fault is a puzzle, and it’s hugely rewarding to find the solution and see the car leave running perfectly again.”

With over a decade in the automotive trade, Mat has built a wealth of experience across MOTs, servicing, and general repairs. His focus has always been the same: making sure every car leaves the workshop safe, reliable, and performing at its best.

Since joining MOTEX, Mat has expanded his skills into diagnostics — quickly proving himself a sharp problem-solver with a real eye for detail. Whether it’s routine maintenance or a complex fault, his approach is simple: do it properly, do it thoroughly, and get it right the first time.

“What I enjoy most is the variety — no two days are the same. I love the challenge of fault-finding and the satisfaction of knowing the customer drives away with complete confidence in their car.”

As the newest member of the MOTEX team, Elen became Front of House in September 2025, bringing warmth, professionalism, and strong organisational skills to the customer experience. She’s the first friendly face our clients meet, handling bookings, enquiries, and day-to-day admin to keep the workshop running smoothly.

Originally trained as a primary school teacher in 2021, Elen spent three years in education before deciding on a new direction. Now, she plays a key role in ensuring customers feel welcome, informed, and confident in the service they receive. From coordinating schedules to keeping communication clear, Elen helps make sure everything behind the scenes runs just as efficiently as the work in the workshop.

“What I enjoy most about my role is being the first point of contact for our customers — I love welcoming people into the garage and making sure everything runs smoothly for them. It’s also really rewarding to be part of MOTEX’s growth from the front desk, especially now that I can balance work with family life alongside Sam and our daughter.”
